A Tribute to Robert Scott Wilson as He Bids Farewell to Days of Our Lives

Fans were blindsided when “Days of Our Lives” made good guy Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) the Salem Necktie Killer. After running away from an abusive father, we assumed he turned into an upstanding citizen.

When he fell in love with good girl Abigail Deveraux (Kate Mansi), we fell in love with them. Who could have known that a psycho was lurking beneath all that goodness?

Salem has always had its share of crazy killers, but when we discovered that Ben was really Batty Ben, we were shocked. We watched in horror as Ben’s descent into madness took him down a terrifying and heartbreaking path. Wilson’s portrayal of a young man desperate to hold on to his true love by framing his nemesis was spectacular.

Wilson was born November 9, 1987, and was raised in central Massachusetts. After graduating from Grafton Memorial High School in 2006, he left to New York to pursue his career. After TV appearances on “The Middle” and “Entourage,” he was also cast in several music videos.

However, most people know him as the first male model for “The Price is Right.” After his game show stint, he landed his first soap role on the Internet version of “All My Children.” But, his big daytime break came on May 22, 2014 when Ben Weston was “born.”

It’s been a wild ride for Ben, whether he’s a figment of Abby’s wild imagination or torturing her for real, his time in Salem comes to an end this week. Whatever happens to Ben Weston, we can all look forward to many years watching the handsome and talented Mr. Wilson.
