A week ago, Days of Our Lives fans saw the last of Kassie DePaiva’ Eve on their screens. While the character spent most her time this Salem go-around as the vixen she was when she first came to town as a teen, Eve began maturing and owning up to her mistakes in life after the death of daughter, Paige (True O’Brien).
That’s why the firing came as such a shock to DePaiva as she was finally getting her groove as Shane Donovan’s oldest daughter.
DePaiva knew by last June (after taping the scenes where Eve lost Paige) that DAYS chose not to renew her contract option and admits it hurt her deeply.
“I was totally shocked, and yes, I cried,” the actress said in the February 15 issue of Soap Opera Digest. “I love soaps and I love to work, so when someone tells me you can’t work and you can’t do the soap, I’m bummed.”
