Nobody ever expected “Days of Our Lives” to create teenage rapists and murderers when it SORAS’d some kids and created a brand-new teen scene last fall, but that’s exactly what the 50-year-old soap did.
In the case of Joey Johnson (James Lastovic), he lost his mind in a moment of temporary insanity and took the life of a crazed villainess, but that doesn’t stop a crime from being a crime. His guilt instantly took over and he needed to confess. However, his mother urged him to keep quiet as she longed to protect her cub.
This week, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) learned Joey spilled the beans to his new friend, Jade. That protective side came out in full force as she fears Jade (Paige Searcy) may say the wrong thing at the wrong time.
Soap Shows wanted to know if you think Kayla will now befriend Jade to try and keep the girl’s mouth shut. Remember, if she doesn’t talk, then it didn’t happen.
Out of nearly 4,000 votes, 79% of you can see a Kayla and Jade friendship in the works. It may start with Kayla’s ulterior motives, but can turn into something more. You think Jade will understand talking won’t do anyone any good, but Kayla may also take the girl under her wings at the same time.
A much smaller 9% of you think Kayla is too pre-occupied with life to manipulate a friendship, but she will carefully keep her eye on the girl from the shadows. She’ll do what she has to as a mother, but doesn’t need a new young friend.
The final 12% don’t even care. The fact that DAYS made Joey a murderer makes you sick, but you also don’t understand why yet another teen with no ties (we know of) in Salem had to become a part of it. You don’t think Jade belongs in this story and wish she’d go away.
