John-Paul Lavoisier Teases What’s Ahead for Philip!

It’s true, John-Paul Lavoisier’s Philip Kiriakis hasn’t had much luck in the love department since returning to Salem. After all, he once again fell for the girl whose heart will always belong to Shawn. However, that may soon change!

“Philip never got Chloe [Nadia Bjorlin] completely out of his system. And she’s a hell of a singer, and you know he’s got that company,” the actor told Soap Central.

“Nothing heals a broken heart like a new love—that’s an old love,” Lavoisier said. He added that it’s hard not to fall in love with Chloe when you look at her!

It seems Philip will take it hard when he finds out that not only has Belle (Martha Madison) left town, but she’s done so with another man, Shawn (Brandon Beemer).

Belle and Philip agree to dissolve their partnership in the record label. Unbeknownst to Philip, that’s the last time he’ll see her.

Although Philip “doesn’t care” that Shawn leaves town as well, Lavoisier will miss his bond with Beemer.

“He’s one of the few guys that I’ve spoken to that I really feel like I’m talking to a mirror,” Lavoisier said.

The actor also enjoys spending time with Vincent Irizarry, who plays his on-screen uncle, Deimos. The pair got to know each other when Lavoisier worked on “One Life to Live” and Irizarry worked on “All My Children,” which taped side-by-side.

Ultimately, the Lavoisier was surprised that he and Madison didn’t share more on-screen time before DAYS let her go. However, the actress noted to him that she had left the show and come back before. So, in daytime, you never know.
