While Days of Our Lives’ Chase has not been himself since his father died last fall, we still thought deep down he was a good kid who’d never truly hurt anyone. Yes, he bullied Theo, but then felt enormous guilt that nearly caused him to leave town.
However, this week, bullying became the least of his teenage crimes when he did the unthinkable and raped stepsister Ciara on the Horton living room couch. Soap Shows was stunned when it happened (as DAYS did not let this plot twist leak), but wanted to know if you felt the same way.
Out of nearly 5,000 votes, a whopping 87% of you couldn’t believe what happened. You knew Chase had issues and remember the story of him killing his mother as a young child (but always wondered if that story was true).

However, you couldn’t imagine DAYS would go in this direction and have him shatter Ciara’s innocence in the most violent and violating way. This twist is a game-changer, as Chase has crossed a line he may never be able to cross back. The Theo/Ciara/Chase story could have been a classic teen triangle, but that idea has been destroyed forever.
A much smaller 11% weren’t shocked at all. You saw the writing on he wall. From the bullying texts to the way he allowed Andre to so easily sway him, you knew he was about to go into dark, disturbing, and unchartered territory.

The final 2% of you say you don’t care. You do not find yourself invested in any of the new teen characters and see yourself fast forwarding through this tragic story.
