Billy Flynn has portrayed Chad on “Days of Our Lives” since landing the recast role in 2014.
However, Flynn is a vastly interesting character in and of himself. Here are five facts you may not have known about one half of the dynamic Chabby duo.
1. Flynn was born May 29, 1985 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At a young age, Flynn watched The Sound of Music daily with his great-grandmother, reciting the lines right along with the actors. That is a home video we have to see!
2. Flynn made his acting debut as the Gingerbread Man in an elementary school production. However, the actor was so nervous he spent the entirety of the play in his great-grandmother’s lap. He then decided to focus on sports after this initial acting experience. In high school, Flynn became an all-star athlete as a fierce hockey player and all-star in football. We wonder if he’s a Vikings fan.
3. Flynn went on to major in Finance at St. Cloud State where he graduated with honors. After working at Accenture for two years, he moved to LA and worked as a financial analyst for Warners Bros. Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) would have been proud of his soon-to-be-on-scree-son.
4. While working in LA, Flynn was reminded of his pre-Gingerbread-Man days love of acting. He finally decided to pursue the dreams of his great-grandparents and booked commercial work. The actor soon starred in a short film called “80 in 10,” as well as a short film he co-produced titled “Solely.” In 2014, he landed a guest role as Nick Spitz on “Hawaii Five-O” tarring opposite Melanie Griffith. On September 12, 2014, Flynn debuted as Chad on DAYS.
5. When not working, Flynn is still a hockey and football enthusiast. He also enjoys spending time with close friends and family, and sharing photos of special moments on his Instagram (@inlikebillyflynn). Flynn even jets back to Minnesota to visit his mom, stepfather. and four brothers. Oh, and he’s about to add to the Flynn clan. He became engaged to girlfriend Gina Comparetto on his 30th birthday. What a gift to give himself!
