On April 21st, a “Days of Our Lives” fan tagged Peter Reckell (Bo) in a tweet accusing him of never reaching out to his fans. Ironically enough, this tweet came as a response to Reckell reaching out to a fan for their birthday. Reckell could have let this go, but instead he shared the reason for his seeming distant at times:

Reckell first brought Bo into our hearts in 1983. He remained on-screen until 1987, then returned for two years in 1990. Robert Kelker-Kelly picked up the role between 1992 and 1995. Reckell then returned for a 17-year stretch as Salem’s forever hero, Bo Brady. After 25 years of pouring his heart into Bo, he’s taking a break to focus on being a husband and dad.
